Eternal Vision

Your standards are not My standards. Man is so temporal in their thinking–I AM eternal. I have made provision for you to be eternal; your thinking should then align with an eternal vision.

So many are focused on themselves…

What are my needs?

What shall make me happy?

What shall I do today? Tomorrow?

But…

  • What about your neighbor?
  • What steps have you taken to meet the needs of others?
  • How about your calling?

Every man that calls himself saved–bears My blood–his sins are washed–has a calling. I have a plan and a purpose for your life. Do you have that in your plans?

I have a plan of provision for your needs–they need not be your concern.

Will you then concern yourself with Me? Will you carry out your part in the plan for your life?

There is so much to be done. Life is so fragile–so quickly spent.

  • Spend your time wisely
  • Develop vision
  • Walk with purpose

For if you don’t have a destination you will never arrive…

Lets map your life together!

“And he said to all, “If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake, he will save it.” Luke 9:23-24

“Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to accomplish his work. Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see how the fields are already white for harvest. He who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together.” Jn. 4:34-36

“Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.” I Cor. 10:24

“So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any incentive of love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfishness or conceit, but in humility count others better than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Phil. 2:1-4

“– one thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Phil. 3:12-14

“Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer every one.” Col. 4:5

  1. Hi Lori. It truly is important to use our time wisely and to walk in the vision and purpose God has infused into our very being. Nice post! On a related subject, I archived some of my articles written to help people think through some of the issues of the day in order to focus on Christ. Knowing what He says, understanding what He means, and applying His direction to our lives is an eternally important process that should not be neglected. May this help us define our vision and purpose. Here’s the link to my “Just Reasoning” archives: http://justreasoning.myfaithfeed.com/category/articles/

    Thanks again!
