Catch a deep breath
Can you keep it? No, what isn’t exhaled becomes absorbed into your system. If you take no further breath, you will die. So it is with…
- My Word
- My Presence
- My Love
If you do not further refresh, you will die. Maybe not physically, at first, but by gradual decay; as a flower fades, your spirit loses strength. And as the flower withers, so stagnation comes to your spirit–your inner man…
The core of your strength
- Body fails
- Beauty follows
- Earth swallows
- Hope is lost
Catch a deep breath and run to My arms–held wide for you to abide in My ever-present love!
- All is not lost
- I’m still here
- Still near
- And I still hear
Call upon Me without fear…
While there is yet breath!
“Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” Genesis 2:7
“For ‘All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord abides for ever.’ That word is the good news which was preached to you.” I Peter 1:24-25
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is safe.” Proverbs 18:10
“In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, that one may avoid the snares of death.” Proverbs 14:26-27
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved. God will help her right early. The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.” Psalms 46:1-7
“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If a man does not abide in me, he is cast forth as a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire and burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be my disciples. As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you; abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” John 15:4-11

Toni it is such a privilege to type for you what the Lord speaks to my heart. It is my blessing that you and others so faithfully want to read it. His messages should be heard. They are not mine and they are rich in meaning. I am learning so much and challenged to live by them. The more I grow, the more I realize I don’t know. Thank you so much for appreciating Him and all He does for us and for your realization that I am an audience with you! I love you and value your friendship, Lori

The breath of the Lord is Grace, Mercy, Blessings, and Love of which He breathes into us, as His ambassadors we exhale into a dark world.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, Amen.

James your comments and wisdom are always that breath of grace. I so appreciate your faithful support. As you know it is through the love of others that we see God more clearly when we can so easily get stuck looking at our own lack. Thank you so much for being that mirror image of His love and Mercy. This blog world needs you!! Keep writing! God’s love and blessings to you my friend, Lori

James what I read this morning confirms your statement. “For it is God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts to give light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, to show that the transcendant power belongs to God and not to us.” II Corinthians 4:6-7
