Reaching Today

As this new day unfolds, the promise of tomorrow holds,

Today

Don’t lose this day, as you look for tomorrow. Don’t lose today, holding on to sorrow…

from yesterday–

Today

For in it contains–

  • The promise of tomorrow
  • The sweetness of lost sorrow
  • The message of tomorrow

Today

Come today, to the brook that you find.

Come today, to the table and dine.

Come to Me today, while this is yet a new day

Come Today

“Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and get gain”; whereas you do not know about tomorrow. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.” James 4:13-14

“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Let the day’s own trouble be sufficient for the day.” Matthew 6:34

“Take care brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.” Hebrews 3:12-13

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:20

“Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies; thou anointest my head with oil, my cup overflows.” Psalms 23:5

    • Well…depends on how you look at it. We have unlimited tomorrows, but they will not all be here. Jesus is our promise of tomorrow. Come to the brook that you find, come to the table and dine, while it is yet today. There are unlimited tomorrows for the lost as well, but not in a good place. My heart’s cry is that all will come to Him today. Thank you Toni 🙂
