With Your Whole Heart

Locate your heart.

Now, locate your mind.

Are the two in sync? Your mind should not run ahead of your heart, for your heart should give your mind charge. Likewise, if your mind is in conflict with your heart, then you are living out of your intelligence or emotions, rather than your spirit.

It is possible for your emotions to rule your mind if your spirit is not strong. Just as it is possible for your heart to lead without intelligent thought or for your intelligence to rule without a heart of compassion. All are examples of a man incomplete, for body, mind and spirit are not in sync.

I made you whole.

A complete man will take a stand against anything less than that–wholeness; the balance of peace in the inner man. There is quietness for your soul when you are whole.

Begin by locating your heart.

“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.” Romans 8:5-6

“–know the God of your father, and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.” I Chronicles 28:9

“I  appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:1-2

“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hid with Christ in God,. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” Colossians 3:1-4

“Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good life let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This wisdom is not such as comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, devilish. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without uncertainty or insincerity. And the harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” James 3:13-18

“As therefore you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so live in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6-7
