Come to Me, you who are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
“‘Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.'” Matthew 11:28-30
Do you rest when you come to Me, or do you bring your burden, speak of it, and then carry it away again?
I hear many pleas, but so many of you are not yet free.
My Word lacks power, because you lack My Word.
If there is enough power in My Word to form the universe, to raise the dead, why not free you instead?
- There is
- I can
- I AM
“‘It is he who made the earth by his power, who established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding stretched out the heavens. When he utters his voice there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he makes the mist rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightnings for the rain, and he brings forth the wind from his storehouses.'” Jeremiah 51:15-16
But you have a part or freedom won’t start.
“And Jesus said to him, ‘If you can! All things are possible to him who believes.'” Mark 9:23
“And he could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands upon a few sick people and healed them. And he marveled because of their unbelief.–” Mark 6:6
When you see a lamp, unplugged, by a wall socket, is the lamp lit? No. Does that mean there is no power available to light the lamp? Again–No. The power is always available, always ready to light the lamp the moment it’s plugged in–the connection is made.
Plug into My Word–it is your power!
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel: it is the power of God for salvation to every one who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, ‘He who through faith is righteous shall live.'” Romans 1:16-17
If you are not free, it is not because freedom lacks. You may lack freedom, but not because of Me. An unplugged lamp is of no use to anyone but to look good.
Be empowered–plug in and light your world for Me.
“‘You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.'” Matthew 5:14-16
It’s the POWER to be free!
“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary, his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.
Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:28-31
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being changed into his likeness from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” II Corinthians 3:17-18
“For the grace of God has appeared for the salvation of all men, training us to renounce irreligion and worldly passions, and to live sober, upright, and godly lives in this world, awaiting our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all iniquity and to purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds.” Titus 2:11-14
“May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:11-14
