Open The Present

The spirit would live–were it not for sin.

For the spirit to live, we must begin again. A new beginning–a  babe is born. A new beginning–your past is torn…

away from you and gone forever…

away in the manger, a child is born.

On Him my sin, I do adorn.

My past is gone–it no longer holds. Why then do I allow it to be told? Again and again, I hear it renew; oh, I know what I must do.

Put away the past–let go of the image. Release my heart–no longer will it hold…

the past but the present

let it unfold.

Truly the Blood was sufficient–it knows no lack. Truly my Savior, would not have it back.

Release me from the wages of sin and of death…

I alone am the one, that holds me back!

Let go I say!

Open the hand that holds…

to reach for all that’s new.

Reach for my Savior’s gift to you…

a newborn child, same as He…

wherein laughter rings for all who’re free!

“And the angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear.

And the angel said the them, ‘Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will come to all the people; for to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

And this will be a sign for you; you will find a babe wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.’ And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom he is pleased!'” Luke 2:9-14

Is There Room For Me?

My birth was not a ‘season’ but the beginning of the end–which is the beginning.

“And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there will be no end.”” Luke 1:30-33

All must die, for the body is not eternal; the spirit would live forever, were it not for sin. Sin brought death to the spirit, while the body lived on–for the spirit to live for eternity it must be born anew–made new.

“–Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3

Renew

I came as a child that you might ‘see’. I came as a babe that you might believe…

that you could be made new–totally freed, from a life of sin and death. A life without Me–yearns to be free.

Invite Me to your home this night. Ask Me in–I’ll bring the light. And then you’ll ‘see’ that all you need, is the gift that was given–the One True Light.

“In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:4

That Light is Me.

“The true light that enlightens every man was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world new him not.” John 1:9

“And she gave birth to her first-born son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.” Luke 2:7

There was no room at the Inn, will you ask Me in?

“But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God; who were born, not of blood nor of the will of flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father.” John 1:12-14

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

Fire Burns Within

The dimly burning wick shall not be quenched!

I have seen your sorrows and witnessed your sadness, yet you have not turned away; your heart is not cold. You cling to what was, but that is no longer you; you have grown. Trials and hardships have matured you–strengthened what was weak.

Yet, all you see is ash–too weary to speak.

Stir up the coals, for fire burns within; all is not lost–there is forgiveness for your sin.

Stir up the gifts; fan the flame.

Reclaim your life–there’s more to gain. Ask of Me and I’ll give you the nations. Restore prayer–rebuke indignation.

YOU ARE STILL MINE and there is much to do. Stir up the fire–still within you.

Yes time is getting short, but it’s not over yet. Get off your bed of sorrow; it’s time we were moving on. There’s so much more for you to do.

So much more for you!

“–The Lord called me from the womb, from the body of my mother he named my name. He made my mouth like a sharp sword, in the shadow of his hand he hid me; he made me a polished arrow, in his quiver he hid me away. And he said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”

But I said, “I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely my right is with the Lord, and my recompense with my God.”

And now the Lord says, who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob back to him, and that Israel might be gathered to him, for I am honored in the eyes of the Lord, and my God has become my strength–

he says; “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel; I will give you as a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.” Isaiah 49 1b-6

Persistent Fruit

Love is genuine

There are those who set forth a pretense of love and yet their heart is absent. Others attempt to love, but their flesh nature of selfishness choke and block that love from flowing.

Genuine love is not pretentious nor stagnant, but flows from a heart that is pure.

“Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere love of the brethren, love one another earnestly from the heart.” I Peter 1:22

Be assured that the fruit produced comes from the root of the tree. If the roots are not planted in good soil the tree will not produce good fruit.

“Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” Come to your right mind, and sin no more. For some have no knowledge of God–.” I Corinthians 15:33-34

A perfectly good tree needs the right conditions to produce fruit.

Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall are all seasons necessary to produce fruit–yes even Winter. I don’t rush the seasons and neither should you. Learn to produce lasting fruit by learning from the seasons.

  • Remain firmly planted.
  • Allow Me to prune.
  • Keep your chin up and keep looking to the Son.
  • Seasons will change.

Love will grow.

“Blessed is the man who endures trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life which God has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12

“Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares about you.” James 5:7

Persistence bears fruit!

“For land which has drunk the rain that often falls upon it, and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed; its end is to be burned.” Hebrews 6:7-8

“In a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and earthenware, and some for noble use, some for ignoble. If any one purifies himself from what is ignoble, then he will be a vessel for noble use, consecrated and useful to the master of the house, ready for any good work. So shun youthful passions and aim at righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call upon the Lord from a pure heart.” II Timothy 2:22

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:23-25

“And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain upon tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its time; it hastens to the end–it will not lie. If it seem slow, wait for it; it will surely come, it will not delay. Behold, he whose soul is not upright in him shall fail, but the righteous shall live by his faith.” Habakkuk 2:2-4

“Though the fig tree do not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like hinds’ feet, he makes me tread upon my high places.” Habakkuk 3:17-19

“And thus Abraham, having patiently endured, obtained the promise.” Hebrews 6:15

“Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false, and does not swear deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the Lord, and vindication from the God of his salvation.” Psalms 24:3-5

I AM The Cure

Anxiety has become an epidemic of great proportion, but they treat the symptoms with a substance that will not cure, only pacify.

I want to heal them.

I want to remove the fear–wipe away every tear.

I AM the cure.

“With them indeed is fulfilled the prophesy of Isaiah which says: ‘You shall indeed hear but never understand, and you shall indeed see but never perceive. for this people’s heart has grown dull, and their ears are heavy of hearing, and their eyes have closed, lest they should perceive with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn for me to heal them.'” Matthew 13:14-15

Many expect instant answers for relief from the pain; invested a lifetime without any gain; yet give me just a moment–refusing to stay.

Yield to My Way; the Way to be healed–yield!

It takes time to build a kingdom and yet moments to tear it down. Just turn away and destruction begins–until you yield again–turn My way and enter in.

Resisting is the key–resist Satan and he will flee. But resisting isn’t passive you see.

Aggressively order him to leave!

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” James 4:7

When anxiety comes–command fear to go; order pain away. I didn’t leave you defenseless, but you must come to your senses–it’s all in My Word. I will heal your body, but you must guard the words you speak. I will deliver you from shame, but you must find the time to seek.

Yield to stay–I AM the Way you seek…

Guard what you speak!

“And to the centurion Jesus said, “Go; be it done for you as you have believed.” And the servant was healed at that very moment.” Matthew 8:13

“And behold, a woman who had suffered from a hemorrhage for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment; for she said to herself, “If I only touch his garment, I shall be made well.” Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well.” Matthew 9:20-22

“And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, “Have mercy on us, Son of David.” When he entered the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.” And their eyes were opened.–” Matthew 9:27-30a

“And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal.” Matthew 9:1-2

“And they departed and went through the villages, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.” Matthew 9:6

“And when Jesus entered Peter’s house, he saw his mother-in-law lying sick with a fever; he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she rose and served him. That evening they brought to him many who were possessed with demons; and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick. This was to fulfil what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, “He took our infirmities and bore our diseases.” Matthew 8:14-17

“”Every one then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who build his house upon the rock; and the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.

And every one who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house upon the sand; and the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell; and great was the fall of it.”” Matthew 7:24-27

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13

“Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways!” Psalms 128:1
