In 2014 I made a commitment with the Lord to come up higher.

It was His idea. He asked me to take communion on it and I readily agreed, even though He said to me that it would be very, very, very hard.

Like a young pup wagging its tail, I bounded forward, not having a clue, but eager to be all that He wants me to be.

What I didn’t know is EVERYTHING I DIDN’T KNOW. How could I possibly have gotten this old and not realized that I was so young and foolish?

What I didn’t know is EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE WAS ABOUT TO CHANGE and I wouldn’t recognize it anymore.

What I didn’t know is I WOULD NO LONGER HAVE A VISION FOR MY FUTURE and it would be necessary to fly by instrument.

What has NOT changed is that HE, JESUS, IS EVERYTHING. It was necessary for me to change to truly KNOW that.

How can it be that it has been over three years of hard work since that commitment and yet, it seems I have only just begun?

I have no clue what you will bring, but I keep my commitment to the One who knows EVERYTHING. I may not see my future, but I see JESUS.

HE is EVERYTHING to me.

“We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. And those whom he predestined he also called; and those whom he called he also justified; and those whom he justified he also glorified.” Romans 8:28-30
