To One of the Ninety-Nine

Dear Little One,

I have heard your heart’s cry, though you think I AM far away.

I see your fear, I feel your strain, and I know you have lost your way. But My Heart, it’s oh so very tender toward you; though you feel the Heavens are as brass.

In times of chaos and unrest, I ask you to step into the Cleft. Hidden in the Rock, is where I bid you come. Now is not a time to search by feelings, for ‘feelings’ would betray you. Now is not a time to ‘hunker down,’ although the isolation would seem to put you there.

Now is a time to search, for the lost are everywhere.

My child do you see, that but for I go thee? For you too were once lost. I ask you to remember. It is easy, so easy to forget that, that was once you!

The fear, the stumbling in the dark. A heart that feels clenched, for there’s no foot-hold; no path to lead the way–show them, for you know. You have the light, and the path you do see–that path that leads to Me.

Imagine what you face today, without a trace of Me.

And then run to another, do whatever you can do, to show them the One who is True.

Please bring them to Me, for I love them too!

And so, you thought it was you that was lost. For you didn’t feel or see Me. No, you were given a gift–a glimpse into the heart of another, of one that doesn’t know the way.

I leave the ninety-nine, to seek the one that is lost. Will you come with Me–would you join Me? Your place is inside of Me, hidden in the Cleft.

Come we must seek, for the days are bleak. Many are lost today. Not one, but many are lost today.

PRAY!

“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.” Luke 15:4-7

“I do not pray for these only, but also for those who believe in me through their word, that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.” John 17:20-21

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, who abides in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’ For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence; he will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and a buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.” Psalms 91:1-6

  1. This is so beautiful and reassuring. I was one of the 99. Lost in the wilderness for years. Praise God, He ran to meet me, as for the prodigal child. Praise God for His grace and LOVE!
