What Are You Thinking?

This new year is one of introspect and invention. I want you to take a deep look within . . . I want you to re-invent your life to My specifications.

Your expectation is not wrong, but you will not reach it if you do not tweak your habits and adjust your ways–including your way of thinking.

Consider your ways.

Loss and time have torn at your mind. Think about that and learn from it–

your thinking must change.

Function begins in the mind, but how you think and what you think about can also stop all function.

Meditate on the Word–it will release you from all torment.

When you find peace, then listen for My direction. Do not take direction from the storm. Command the storm–learn from it, but do not run from it.

I may use others to give you confirmation, but I AM your direction–within.

“Apply your mind to instruction and your ear to words of knowledge.” Proverbs 23:12

I AM in the midst of the storm. (Mark 4:38-40)

All around you may be chaos, but you will maintain peace, within, if you know that I AM.

Yes, I AM!

“My son, if your heart is wise, my heart too will be glad. My soul will rejoice when your lips speak what is right. Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the fear of the Lord all the day. Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off. Hear my son and be wise, and direct your mind in the way.” Proverbs 23:15-19

“My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to him who finds them, and healing to all his flesh. Keep your heart with all vigilance; for from it flow the springs of life. Put away from you crooked speech, and put devious talk far from you. Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Take heed to the path of your feet, then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.” Proverbs 4:20-27

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

Do not hold back from supporting ministries that are preaching the gospel around the world. They serve the Lord and are reaching places you may never see. When you support the preaching of the Gospel, you support the Lord’s work and hasten our coming Lord, King Jesus

Human nature tends to shoot their best supporting foot, just because it steps a little different than the other. May we all take on the ‘nature’ of God and receive His peace and understanding for one another!

Thank you for sharing this and for your generous donations, in partnership, to reach this hurting nation!

  1. Yes, Yes, Yes, and Yes. This is what the Lord has been speaking to my heart.

    Amen!

      • The scriptures you used here spoke to my heart, particularly the verses from Proverbs chapter 4.

Many years ago, just a little over a month after I had decided to believe in Christ Jesus as my Savior and my Lord, I had a vivid dream. In my dream, I heard a powerful male voice say: “Guard your heart above all that you guard. Guard your heart above all that you guard. Guard your heart above all that you guard.” There were no visuals in that dream, just a powerful voice of authority, repeating those words three times.

I woke up and thought “I believe that’s in the Bible. In Proverbs, I think.”

The Bible that I had recently purchased was an Amplified Classic. I immediately began looking through the book of Proverbs, beginning with the first chapter, scanning through every verse, looking for the words ‘Guard your heart.’ I found those words in the fourth chapter.

Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life. ~Proverbs 4:23, AMPC

I was stunned. WOW! God had spoken to me in a dream!

I looked at the calendar so that I could write down the date of this experience and realized that the day was April 24. Then I had this goofy thought: ‘Today’s date is 4/24. This verse that I dreamed about is 4:23. I wonder why God didn’t give me this dream yesterday, when the date would have matched the chapter and verse?’

I’m not absolutely sure about this part… but when I had that stupid thought, I seemed to hear God laugh!

Within an hour of waking up from the dream, I discovered why I especially needed to guard my heart that day. I had turned my phone’s ringer off the night before, when I went to bed. During the night, my voicemail had been completely filled up with messages… from someone that I very much needed to stay away from!
