About

“The Lord has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may  know how to sustain with a word him that is weary.  Morning by morning He wakens, he wakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.” Isaiah 50:4

“Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might understand the gifts bestowed on us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom, but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who possess the Spirit.” I Cor 2:12-13

It seems appropriate that I launch my blog on January 1st. It is a new beginning to something that began a very long time ago. I have been hearing the Lord speak to my heart since I was about 9 years old. I never thought it was strange or unusual and it isn’t. We are to know the voice of God, but too often we fail to listen. (see John 10:27)

In my blog you will find words from the Lord spoken to my heart and shared with you; as well as scriptures from the Word of God. Unless stated otherwise, the verses will be quoted from the Revised Standard Version. You also may find a thought or two from my heart to yours, as well as testimonies of events and experiences that I have had in my life. If you are an experienced blogger please cut me some slack, because I am not. I am merely stepping out in faith and launching  into the deep on something that I believe God has called me to do. You may agree with what you find or you may not. That will be up to you to decide and you may stay for a time or leave and never come back. Again it is entirely up to you. It is my desire to simply provide fresh bread to a hungry heart and to speak, in faith, words to ponder. Words to uplift and encourage as you continue to build your life.

Thank you for visiting with me. I hope to know you all one day.

  1. Lori, You have a great start for a blog, and I’m a fan! I like your post because they are good. I came by to cheer for you and thank-you again for the love you have in Christ our Messiah. I have a new poem to write and the Holy Spirit only gave me two words to work with. I ask what can I do with that? I could hear Him laugh as He said you will know! I love our God so much His ways always surprise me! When you hear His voice it is a blessing. When you talk mouth to mouth with Him you fall in LOVE! This blessing I pray for you, Amen. James

I really enjoy your structure of sharing, followed by bullet points, and ending with scriptures. Also, your commitment to posting daily is inspiring.

You’re a blessing to the body of Christ!
