The Rule of Emotion

Emotions were never meant to be a barometer for your day.

They were given as a gift to feel and express joy, sadness, love–releasing or receiving feelings as they come and go–flow through your life, but they are not to rule.

Consider this, would you bow to an emotion or honor a feeling? No, no more than you would consider bowing to the devil and yet, many do, when they allow their emotions to rule.

The pain and heartache you feel is very real, but change can happen in the twinkling of an eye. Offer your heartache to Me, knowing that I’ll take it from thee.

There is so much in store for you, but the process isn’t easy–let go to receive.

The process is in layers; if I were to bring you through, all at once, you would be undone–you would be overwhelmed. Even now, as I dole it out in portions, revealing a layer at a time, you often come crying.

My desire is not to hurt you, but there will be pain as you learn to retrain your thinking–developing new ways for old patterns that are revealed.

“A man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9

Come align with Me

  • Your steps
  • Your thinking
  • Your heart

I have a purpose for you–we are partners-we work together.

“The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; thy steadfast love, O Lord, endures for ever. Do not forsake the work of thy hands.” Psalms 138:8

Now, you can continue to cry out your emotions or you may use the abilities I have given you; exercise your faith to move forward and work toward your future.

Yes, I give you seasons of rest, but there is also a season of work.

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3

Stay close to Me.

Abide in My Love as I guide you through each day. Come what may, it is not by chance what you receive, but what you believe–you will receive.

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If a man does not abide in me, he is cast forth as a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire and burned.

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be my disciples.

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you; abide in my love. If you keep my commandments you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” John 15:1-11

“As therefore you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so live in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6-7

A Thankful Heart

“I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will tell of all thy wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in thee, I will sing praise to thy name, O Most High.” Psalms 9:1-2

Enjoy your families!

For those of us who have to work…be thankful…it is a blessing to have a job!

“Whatever your task, work heartily, as serving the Lord and not men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you are serving the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24

I am so very thankful to God; I am so very thankful for you!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Now Rest

Have you heard of rest? There are times of rest and refreshing for My children. Many think that they have failed if they are not in constant production–night and day. Even land needs to rest or it will not produce good crops.

Rest

Take the time for your body to rejuvenate; allow your mind to settle.

A vacation from work is essential for the spirit.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want; he makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul.” Psalms 23:1-3a

You have not failed Me when I call a ‘time out’. And you will know when I have, for just as, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me,” if I remove the power, you will find yourself against a wall every time you try to strike out.

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13 KJV

We are a team; we go together or we stay.

We rest.

I need you to be very attentive to My direction. We move as one, and I know what ‘we’ need to function, to lead a healthy and happy life–a life that produces fruit.

Allow the ground to rest and there will be an abundant harvest when we plant again–next time!

Now Rest!

“And on the seventh day God finished his work which he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done. So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all his work which he had done in creation.” Genesis 2:2-3

“Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; in plowing time and in harvest you shall rest.” Exodus 34:21

A Time of Direction

There is coming a time of direction like there has never been before. Children listening to parents. Teenagers teaching others. Disciples learning from My Word like it is their last day on Earth. Commitment is the key to be in the flow of this great revival of learning. A committed determination to grow and to utilize the keys that I have given you will cause you to advance in the Kingdom at a rate that you thought impossible. For you have underestimated your abilities, by understating My Love, My Grace, and the work of the Holy Spirit within you.

Your confidence must remain in Me–put no confidence in the flesh, for apart from Me you can do nothing.

My work within you will cause impurities to rise to the surface. You may draw back at this, as you recognize areas that need to change. Displeasing habits will be revealed–not to embarrass you, or to cause shame, but to motivate action. When this happens–

  • Work

Work at it with all your heart. Work with diligence and determination to be free. Always remembering that it is not your “works” that brings the release, but the work of the Holy Spirit within you–

  • As you “work” the Word
  • Applying what you have learned
  • Until you see Victory!

“I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will council you with My eye upon you. Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, else it will not keep with you.” Psalms 32:8-9

“Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low, and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth; and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.” Luke 3:5-6

“And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do.”Jeremiah 18:4
