Well Done!

Total surrender is often difficult to maintain. It takes more discipline, more humility, and definitely more restrain.

Refrain from sin, and having it your way, for surrender is a state of the heart of one that is ‘set apart’ and devoted to service. The one who, so desires, must discipline their life to be of service, avoid strife and continue to monitor their life.

  • Selfishness
  • Permissiveness
  • Discouragement
  • Disgruntlement

and a host of other sins will continue to vie for a foothold in your life.

Take a firm stance against them by a passive front–that of total surrender. It is not a sign of weakness but, rather, the evidence of strength. For one is in complete control when going to such length…

to glorify and magnify the one who dwells within. An honorable position to obtain, if only one would abstain, and offer their life as sacrifice to the one who gave it all.

That they might be called the sons of God…

a credit to us all.

Well Done!

“Put off your old nature which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians 4:22-24

“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians 5:1-2

“For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. He committed no sin; no guile was found on his lips. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten; but he trusted to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.” I Peter 2:18-24

“Beloved, I beseech you as aliens and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh that wage war against your soul.” I Peter 2:11

“Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same thought, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer by human passions but by the will of God.” I Peter 4:1-2

“abstain from every form of evil.” I Thessalonians 5:22

“It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife; but every fool will be quarreling.” Proverbs 20:3

“for God did not give us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power and love and self-control.”  I Timothy 1:7

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that in due time he may exalt you. Cast all  your anxieties on him, for he cares about you. Be sober, be watchful. your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experience of suffering is required of your brotherhood throughout the world. and after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, establish, and strengthen you. To him be the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” I Peter 5:6-11

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” Matthew 5:9

To the King!

Tenacious perseverance is required to reach the maturity level I would like My saints to obtain. I find very few willing to pursue this–a level of excellence. Not a prideful stance, but a level of integrity and service that declares you to be the servant and the son of a King.

Ours is a unique relationship. You are a son and yet, like the Son who came to serve, you are a servant. A royal priesthood willing to lay down all for his brother is a beautiful and rare gift. A gift that, if acquired, will last. For when you obtain that level of maturity you will have suffered through many things

and

You will understand completely that the evil one has no power over you.

You will fully know how to utilize My Word in every situation you find yourself in.

and

You will love your brother as yourself–esteeming him highly as a prize of the King. Those who love Me to this capacity–who honor others before themselves; will wear My Crown of Glory.

True riches it will bring–

To the King!

“Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you.” Luke 10:19

“Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways!” Psalms 119:1-3

“If you really fulfill the royal law, according to the scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well.” James 2:8

“and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For the Son of man also came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:44-45

“Tend the flock of God that is your charge, not by constraint but willingly, not for shameful gain but eagerly, not as domineering over those in your charge but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd is manifested you will obtain the unfading crown of glory. Likewise you that are younger be subject to the elders. clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” I Peter 5:2-5

“Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love of the brethren, a tender heart and a humble mind. Do not return evil for evil or reviling for reviling; but on the contrary bless, for to this you have been called, that you may obtain a blessing. For “He that would love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking guile; let him turn away from evil and do right; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. but the face of the Lord is against those that do evil.” Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is right? But even if you do suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed” I Peter 3:8-14a

“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; he bestows favor and honor. No good thing does the Lord withhold from those who walk uprightly.” Psalms 84:11

Relax

I have constrained you, but for a season. Preparation is required for you to become fully dependent on My direction, My signals and cues.

We Move as one.

Yes, you know My ways, but do you know Me so intimately that you know what I will do in your life before it happens?

I thought not.

Work closely with Me. Allow Me to teach you as a personal mentor. I have observed your every move in life, but have you watched Mine?

I thought not.

So, there is more to learn. Think of My constraints as a comfort zone, that I have arranged for you; to allow you freedom to learn and grow within My parameters for your life.

In other words…

RELAX

Give yourself time to grow, knowing that I AM in control.

All is well…

All is well!

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:29-30

“He whose ear heeds wholesome admonition will abide among the wise. He who ignores instruction despises himself, but he who heeds admonition gains understanding. The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom, and humility goes before honor.” Proverbs 15:31-33

“For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and preserving the way of his saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice, and equity, every good path; for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul” Proverbs 2:6-10

“A man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9

“But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumph, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.” II Corinthians 2:14

Choose Forgiveness

Make peace with your brother while you have opportunity, for you don’t know what tomorrow will bring. Let us examine your heart together…

  • Is there strife?
  • Is there unforgiveness?
  • Is there anger?

Or is it merely sorrow, for you have been unrelenting and kept the former in your heart for so long you no longer remember why? A bitter heart will rot the bones and eventually destroy your life. Whereas, forgiveness, takes a moment of humility that will deliver you from a lifetime of evil.

Make the decision today to open your heart to Me and allow Me to sort out what you have held tight, held captive and not trusted even yourself to examine. Together we can eradicate all you harbor that brings harm; irrigate the wound and let healing come. The weight that lifts off your shoulders will add years to your life–the sadness and anger will be gone.

When you forgive, I will forgive you and new life you will find. If only you would choose to forgive.

Let us begin

Let us be about your brothers’ business

Open your heart

I AM knocking

Let us begin

“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father also will forgive you; but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Mt. 6:14-15

“You give your mouth free rein for evil, and your tongue frames deceit. You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother’s son. These things you have done and I have been silent; you thought that I was one like yourself. But now I rebuke you, and lay the charge before you.” Ps. 50:19-21

“Let the words of my mouth and the mediation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.” Ps. 19:14

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.” Ps. 51:10-12

“Then Peter came up and said to him, ‘Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?’ Jesus said to him, ‘I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven.'” Mt. 18:21
