Sweet Nectar

I AM about to stir My Body into action! Complacency has settled over much of the Body as if it were a blanket of sleep. This needs to change, for there is so much to be done. I have instilled a gift in each one of you, and though you enjoy partaking of Me, I have yet to partake of many of you.

There is fruit waiting to be tasted inside of you. The fruit of the vine that, when allowed to mature and ripen, will be the sweetest of nectar–a drink fit for the King!

Ripening only happens when the fruit is attached to the vine. I AM the vine and you are the branches. Should a branch be broken, that fruit will no longer grow and produce; it must be pruned. Allow Me to cultivate you. You know of your gifts and natural talents; they don’t reside in you by accident, but by design.

Stir up the gifts within and allow Me to refine them. Step out in faith, even if you don’t feel quite confident. A step of faith will be met with support and direction for the next step.

Take the adventure to see where it leads. You will be pleasantly surprised…

and

The fruit you will bear will be…

Satisfyingly Sweet!

I am the true vine and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch of mine that bears no fruit, he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already made clean by the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I  in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If a man does not abide in me, he is cast forth as a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire and burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be my disciples. As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you; abide in my love.” John 15:1-9

“Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; he who teaches, in his teaching; he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who contributes, in liberality; he who gives aid, with zeal; he who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with brotherly affection; outdo one another in showing honor. Never flag in zeal, be aglow with the Spirit, serve the Lord.” Romans 12:6-11

The Circle of Life

Pleasant words are easier to say than harsh. Why then do I hear more of the harsh than kindness? It ought not be so among you. Deliver fresh water that is sweet from your heart. Words that will be received with gladness; the law of kindness on your tongue, and you will receive kindness in return.

Brackish water poisons the soul and brings forth death…

  • Death to love
  • Death to joy
  • Kills the laughter

And, laughter doeth good like medicine!

Discipline yourself to speak words of life to uplift the hearer, bring joy to their soul and the medicine of laughter to a failing heart. Your reward will be life–what you give will be what you get in return.

The Circle of Life–try it!

The fruit will be sweet and just as I said that kind words are easier to say…

you will likewise find that

Kind words are easier to eat!

“From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brethren, this ought not to be so. Does a spring pour forth from the same opening fresh water and brackish? Can a fig tree, my brethren, yield olives, or a grapefine figs? No more can salt water yield fresh. Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good life let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.” James 3:10-13

“And all spoke well of him (Jesus), and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth; and they said, “is not this Joseph’s son?”” Luke 4:22

“How sweet are thy words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth.” Psalms 119:103

“A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a downcast spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22

“Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.” Proverbs 16:24
