The Gift of Waiting

Before Jesus was crucified, He informed His disciples that they would see Him again–He would rise from the dead. That must have been hard for them to believe, and yet, He was with them! They witnessed miracle after miracle. They KNEW Him!

They had no choice–they waited.

Jesus’ resurrection from the dead procured abundant life for all that would believe; it is so much more than Salvation! I cannot sum up in a sentence or paragraph all that was bought for us through the horrific sacrifice on the cross, death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, King Jesus. In fact, the majority of believers live a lifetime and still do not fully realize the unsurpassed fullness of Jesus Christ in their lives. Maybe that is because we first need to fully grasp the ability to wait!

Abraham waited nearly a lifetime for Issac; Moses waited in the desert 40 years; Noah waited for the flood as he built the ark and then waited in the Ark for the flood to subside, enabling him to return to the earth; Joseph waited in prison; Jesus waited 40 days and nights in the desert and waited 3 days in Hell; and the list goes on and on!

I doubt that there are many of us that like to wait.

Are you waiting for Eternity? You need to realize that Eternity has already begun. Jesus did all that He needed to do, to provide the abundant life intended for you. Now, it’s up to you to procure it!

Waiting is active.

It’s not sitting around waiting for Heaven . . . Yes, if you have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, Heaven, will be your home; but Jesus offers you Heaven on earth. If you’re not learning about, pursuing, and receiving all the promises found in the Bible, then you are missing out . . . You’re wasting your wait, and you’re wasting your life!

For those that don’t believe in Jesus, don’t repent of their sins, receive His forgiveness and the promise of Eternal life–so sorry for you! Your Eternal Hell has already begun, for you are missing out on a life filled with Promises and the Gift of Love and Forgiveness. You don’t know what it’s like to have fellowship with Jesus and know of His Grace and Mercy. You’ve never felt His Love surround you; basked in His Presence; walked in Divine Favor and the BLESSING! You don’t have security and safety, and the assurance that you will never truly fail, for He’s got your back. You don’t know His perfect Peace!

Well, the Good News is, if you’re reading this, it’s not too late!

Before you reach for another Jelly Bean–WAIT!

Think about your soul. Think about this Eternity that you are living and ask yourself if it is enough. For Christian and non-Christian alike–there is more!

He made a way for EVERYONE, while He waited; but He wasn’t just waiting–He conquered; and in three days He resurrected from the dead–that Hell and the grave have no power over you–ever again!

So, it seems waiting is quite important, don’t you think?

May Jesus BLESS your Resurrection Sunday. May you actively wait on Him–

May you fully offer your life to Him–He’s waiting for you

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God sent the Son into the world not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. He who believes in him is not condemned; he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” John 3:16-18

“To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 1:5b

Prepare to be Chosen

Preparation is more than being prepared, it is resolve to do things right, long before you begin. Those who commit to this, have a set determinationexpectation, of the final result–long before they begin.

That one wins, for they are prepared in their heart to meet My expectation and will stop at nothing less!

“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; yea, wait for the Lord!” Psalms 27:14

Now–be prepared, for I have an assignment for you that no other can fill; for it was designed just for you and My expectation is–You!

I look for you to be ready–willing to step out at My instruction at any given time.

You see, waiting, has caused many to slumber.

“But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.” Romans 8:25

They are not anticipating My move, because they have ‘left off’ waiting. ‘True’ waiting isn’t lax–it is anticipation–expectation and a readiness of heart that I might begin.

“For still the vision awaits its time; it hastens to the end–it will not lie. If it seem slow, wait for it; it will surely come, it will not delay. Behold, he whose soul is not upright in him shall fail, but the righteous shall live by his faith.” Habakkuk 2:3-4

Shall we?– It’s time!

For I see you are prepared–therefore, you are Chosen!

Let us begin.

“You are my witnesses,’ says the Lord, ‘and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am He. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me. ‘I, I am the Lord, and besides me there is no savior. I declared and saved and proclaimed, when there was no strange god among you; and you are my witnesses,’ says the Lord. I am God, and also henceforth I am He; there is none who can deliver from my hand; I work and who can hinder it?'” Isaiah 43:10-13

“I am the Lord, I have called you in righteousness, I have taken you by the hand and kept you; I have given you as a covenant to the people, a light to the nations, to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness. I am the Lord, that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to graven images. Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them. Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the end of the earth!” Isaiah 42:6-10a

“Comfort in the Challenge”

A timely book for this troubling season!

Notice the title. This book was created and printed in 2019 before anyone had ever heard of Covid 19. I had a different title planned for the book, but the publisher rejected my title and suggested this title that the Lord had spoken to her. We didn’t know what was coming, but He did! This book wasn’t written to sensationalize a current event. It was spoken by God in provision for a time to come and that time is now!

These books are not my words; other than testimony pages, they are all His messages. Listen as He speaks to your heart and takes you on a journey to bring healing and wholeness to your spirit, soul and body. These messages speak His heart, but they are not to replace the Word; they serve to amplify the Word with practical application and insight.

Read the Word!

Scriptures are included with every message. Take the time to look them up and study the Word. It is the Word that Saves, Delivers and Heals. Jesus IS the Word, and He chooses to have relationship with YOU!

All proceeds for Comfort in the Challenge go directly to Canaanland Ministries. A faithful ministry devoted to equip men to overcome addiction and find new life in Christ. Both books may be ordered from the link above.

This Is Your Year

See this as the beginning of your life.

Your past serves only to bring you to today; it doesn’t hold you; it no longer serves you–release it.

If you cling to your past, you will believe what has been is all there will be, for it will take hold of your heart and you will begin to let go of faith. It won’t seem so at first, but gradually, slowly, it will grip your heart.

“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?” Isaiah 43:18-19

Turn and take hold of your future.

Lay hold of it, for it contains the promises I have spoken previously to your heart. Many a time you have wondered if you had not heard correctly, for so much time has passed, but I reiterate them to you, for I have not forgotten and I do not repent of speaking them; but, rather, refresh them in your mind and heart.

“For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why we utter the Amen through him, to the glory of God.” II Corinthians 1:20

There is a season and a time for all things and it is to My delight when you hold a promise dear and even so you wait. For waiting cleanses the flesh, it is a selfless act–a time for humility.

You have proved faithful.

You will receive.

Continue to believe.

The non-essential cast away. Those not present, passed away.

Beneath the surface lies your future, ready to be revealed.

“Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.” Isaiah 42:9

Begin to take the steps as I speak them to your heart. You will soon recognize that the path is new  to you, old patterns are no longer repeating, for you have grown. What you once craved no longer beckons and you stand tall.

Flex the muscle you have practiced and continue to grow, for now your ways are clear.

Clear to hear.

This is your year!

“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, that through these you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of passion, and become partakers of the divine nature. For this very reason make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. for if these things are yours and abound, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” II Peter 1:1-8

No Wonder

Don’t stop to ask yourself why.

So much precious life is wasted asking, Why?

Why not?

Why not accept the fact that you won’t always know why and move on?

If you need to know, you will, but sometimes answers come slowly, and some never will.

Trust never wavers–never stops to wonder why–for ‘why’ will cause you to wander. It is the root of doubt and will tear down your faith for you are stagnant when you wait for that which may never come.

Seek to know the answers in My Word.

For there you won’t wonder, for you will know why–when you see why you wait.

Do you see?

No wonder!

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

“But it is the spirit in a man, the breath of the Almighty, that makes him understand.” Job 32:8

“The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice. The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip.” Psalms 37:30-31

“Wait for the Lord, and keep to his way, and he will exalt you to possess the land; you will look on the destruction of the wicked.” Psalms 37:34

Actively Blessed

The Blessing comes to those who wait, but it is the activity that brings it forth; so do not think that waiting is passive–waiting is expectancy, and being about the Father’s business.

I have called the sinners to repentance…

  • Waiting is repentance.

I have declared that the meek shall inherit the earth…

  • Those who wait, are meek.

I have given My Word as food for the hungry…

  • Those who wait, feed on My Word.

I have asked that you give to the poor…

  • Those who wait, are generous.

I could go on all day–do you want more?

Or

Will you do what I’ve asked?

For the Blessing comes to those who wait, but then, you are already Blessed

So, what are you waiting for? BE Blessed!

Follow Me

“I have not come to call the righteous, but sinner to repentance.” Luke 5:32

“–Jesus began to preach, saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.'” Matt. 4:17

“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” Matt. 5:5

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh.” Jn. 47-51

“In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God; all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” Jn. 1:1-5

“But he answered, ‘It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'” Matt. 4:4

“Jesus said to him, ‘If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven, and come, follow me.'” Mt. 19:21

Will you Wait?

Blessings come to those who wait. Waiting does not have to be passive or inactive but, rather, it can be an opportunity to

  • Trust
  • Seek
  • Listen

Trust is a matter of the heart, for one cannot trust without relationship. Without relationship, fellowship and a history there is no basis for trust.

Seek is an action. If you are seeking you are actually expecting an end result; seek and ye shall find.

Listen do you hear it? My still small voice? If you are just too busy or too busy talking–if you are always the one speaking, you will not hear.

So–wait.

Will you trust Me and seek Me with all your heart? Will you listen while I speak?

Then  you are BLESSED!

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Is. 55:8-9

“Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man and he will increase in learning. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. For by me your days will be multiplied, and years will be added to your life.” Prov. 9:9-11

“Make me to know thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth and teach me for thou art the God of my salvation; for thee I wait all the day long.” Ps. 25:4-5
