Open The Door

Do not ‘work’ at pleasing others, for they will not satisfy your life. For just when you think you’ve accomplished their will, it will change–for emotions reign.

“Am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still pleasing men, I should not be a servant of Christ.” Galatians 1:10

Look to Me, for I AM pleased at your glance.

You don’t have to perform for Me; for I know you and, in you, I AM pleased. Rather, work at the task pressing on your heart and I will work those around you, to please you, to do what I’ve called you to do.

Do not be afraid of the goal–just begin.

Those who allow the goal to overwhelm, never start. Convinced in their heart that they can’t do what I ask, they stop listening and turn away. Fear of failure has taken root in their heart.

I didn’t ask you to know how; I ask you to be willing.

From the start you may only know a small part.

The plan is made perfect by My will. For I will impart My Wisdom to your heart, and knowledge to fulfill My will.

Do you question still?

Come along with Me. I will help you to see the answers to all that you ask.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

I AM unchanging, but ever-arranging your life to line up with Mine. As you ‘see’ Me, that is the key, that unlocks each door that you grasp.

Open the door!

“My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding;

yes, if you cry out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures; then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.

For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and equity, every good path;

for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; discretion will watch over you; understanding will guard you; delivering you from the way of evil, from men of perverted speech–” Proverbs 2:1-12

“Whatever your task, work heartily, as serving the Lord and not men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you are serving the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24

What Limit?

The density of My Word is determined by how you perceive it.

One might say I AM very shallow, for I would not fight. Another would say I AM very deep, for they cannot understand My Word. Both are true statements for them, for they know very little of Me. Therefore, their perception is small and this becomes their truth.

I AM as much truth as man is willing to accept, for I AM immeasurable and unending.

Therefore, you may explore Me and never reach a final conclusion.

Think on that.

So when you define who I AM, think again.

“–that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with might through his Spirit in the inner man, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have power to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fulness of God.” Ephesians 3:16-19

And when you think that there is a limit in your life–

think again.

Who put that limit there?

Do you really think that I, a limitless God, who created you in My image, would choose to limit you?

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.'” Genesis 1:27-28

“And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding beyond measure, and largeness of mind like the sand on the seashore, so that Solomon’s wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the people of the east, and all the wisdom of Egypt.” I Kings 4:29-30

You–you only, limit yourself.

Therefore I AM asking that you change your perception of you, by changing your perception of Me.

Know Me more, that you may know more.

There is so much more, if in you–you can ‘see’ Me.

“I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,

having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power in us who believe,

according to the working of his great might which he accomplished in Christ when he raised him from the dead and made him sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come; and he has put all things under his feet and has made him the head over all things for the church which is the body, the fulness of him who fills all in all.” Ephesians 1:16-23

“Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, for ever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21

The Wealth of Your Heart

Tremendous wealth is laid up for the just–just as I have said.

“A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.” Proverbs 13:22 KJV

But this is not something you set out to procure, for then, ‘riches’ would be in your head.

“As for the rich in this world, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on uncertain riches but on God who richly furnishes us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good deeds, liberal and generous, thus laying up for themselves a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life which is life indeed.” I Timothy 6:17-19

No, your head is meant for knowledge, and honor is given to the one who honors Me. But those who set their heart to attain, find, they drift from Me.

Rather, refrain from seeking your own wealth–seek My Kingdom instead.

Then long life and wealth will honor thee, and power that raises the dead.

You see, where your desire is, there is your heart.

If your desire be for ‘My Kingdom come’–in you My heart delights. Blessing will follow, those who swallow, the pride of their ‘own’ life.

Seek not from your head, ‘follow’ instead.

“What causes wars, and what causes fightings among you? Is it not your passions that are at war in your members? You desire and do not have; so you kill. And you covet and cannot obtain; so you fight and wage war. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.” James 4:1-3

“And others are the ones sown among thorns; they are those who hear the word, but the cares of the world, and the delight in riches, and the desire for other things, enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.” Mark 4:18-19

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:19-21

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.” Matthew 6:33

“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” Colossians 3:1-4

“I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me. Riches and honor are with me, enduring wealth and prosperity. My fruit is better than gold, even fine gold, and my yield than choice silver. I walk in the way of righteousness, in the paths of justice, endowing with wealth those who love me, and filling their treasuries.” Proverbs 8:17-21

“Praise the Lord. Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments! His descendants will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house; and his righteousness endures for ever.” Psalms 112:1-3

“Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, who do his commands; seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you may be hidden on the day of the wrath of the Lord.” Zephaniah 2:3

Waiting For Vindication

It is good and right for the upright to see My vindication on their enemies, for it satisfies justice.

“Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the Lord without wavering. Prove me, O Lord, and try me; test my heart and my mind. For thy steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in faithfulness to thee.” Psalms 26:1-3

Some of you have waited many years for this satisfaction. But do you wait for bad things to happen to them; much as if I would rub their nose in the dirt to punish?

No, I say that is not My desire, and it is for you that I wait.

I wait for your heart to turn.

“Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.” Proverbs 10:12

I wait for you to love in forgiveness, and understand that it is not My desire to harm, but to build.

My desire is to build you before your enemy, but can I do this when you have bitterness and unforgiveness in your heart?

It is for you I wait.

Learn to love those who don’t love you, for that is who I AM.

Do this and I will lift you to a position that you no longer care what your enemy has done.

Because, for you–

Life has begun!

“The Lord works vindication and justice for all who are oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the people of Israel.

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger for ever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor requite us according to our iniquities.

For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgression from us.

As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear him. For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.” Psalms 103:6-14

“Do not say, ‘I will repay evil’; wait for the Lord, and he will help you.” Proverbs 20:22

“When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” Proverbs 16:7

“Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies; thou anointest my head with oil, my cup overflows.” Psalms 23:5

Little Foxes

Temptation may seem far from you now, if you’ve walked closely to My side. You have been diligent to abide–take life in stride, but temptation hasn’t ceased–it’s just lost its savor. Should you become lax, it will be right at your door–calling for more.

“Catch us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom.” Song of Solomon 2:15

Be instant in season and out of season, with the Word ready on your lips. Be ready when you’re tired–lest you slip.

“Blessed are they who observe justice, who do righteousness at all times!” Proverbs 106:3

For it may seem a little thing–a trivial sin. But this crack in the door, will open for more, the moment you let it in. The steadfast heart, takes no part, in that which would tear you away.

“Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same thought, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer by human passions but by the will of God.” I Peter 4:1-2

Be diligent to stride–right by My side–focused every day!

“Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.” Proverbs 3:7-8

Follow Me.

“He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If any one serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there shall my servant be also; if any one serves me, the Father will honor him.” John 12:25-26

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If any one loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides for ever.” I John 2:15-17

“For a man’s ways are before the eyes of the Lord, and he watches all his paths. The iniquities of the wicked ensnare him, and he is caught in the toils of his sin. He dies for lack of discipline, and because of his great folly he is lost.” Proverbs 5:21-23

“But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves in the love of God; wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And convince some, who doubt; save some, by snatching them out of the fire; on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.” Jude 20-23

“Now to him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you without blemish before the presence of his glory with rejoicing, to the only God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and for ever. Amen. Jude 24-25

Continue Rested

Peace and rest. These are two well known words that are ‘little known’ in this busy season of life.

Man has lost the ability to truly rest.

You speak of peace during the seasonal celebration of My Birth, but is it mere words or a representation of your life?

To have total peace–

  • Your life is measured.
  • Your priorities are in order.
  • You are surrendered to My will and direction for your life.

For I understand your ways and I see your life mapped out before you. I see what you, yourself, do not see. This is why I ask you to trust. If you respect Me, and trust that I will lead you on the best path, you will remain rested in My decisions, as I direct your life.

“Teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God! Let thy good spirit lead me on a level path!” Psalms 143:10

You are not My puppet; I don’t wish to control–

I AM your mentor.

I gather your thoughts–we discuss them together. We make a plan and, ultimately, a decision. But if one doesn’t ‘see the way’, how can another follow?

Won’t they both wander aimlessly?

“–Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit? A disciple is not above his teacher, but every one when he is fully taught will be like his teacher.” Luke 6:39-40

I see the way–will you follow?

“I bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me.” Psalms 16:7

“Thou dost show me the path of life; in thy presence there is fulness of joy, in thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.” Psalms 16:11

Stop struggling to find your path.

Rest in My decision–have peace that I won’t let you miss a step. You won’t start over, for you never leave behind what you have learned.

You ‘continue’–when you are ‘rested’.

“And to whom did he swear that they should never enter his rest, but to those who were disobedient? So we see that they were unable to enter because of unbelief. Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest remains, let us fear lest any of you be judged to have failed to reach it.

For good news came to us just as to them; but the message which they heard did not benefit them, because it did not meet with faith in the hearers. For we who have believed enter that rest–” Hebrews 3:18-4:3a

“So then there remains a sabbath rest for the people of God; for whoever enters God’s rest also ceases from his labors as God did from his. Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, that no one fall by the same sort of disobedience.” Hebrews 4:9-11

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27

“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.” Colossians 3:15

“Make me to know thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me, for thou art the God of my salvation; for thee I wait all the day long.” Psalms 25:4-5

“Teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God! Let thy good spirit lead me on a level path!” Psalms 143:10

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV

Seek Willing

Direction is highly sought after–so many prayers, “Show me the way to go.” “I don’t know what to do–please!”

These are pleas that I hear continually. But they don’t stop to think; they are too desperate for a ‘new’ answer, to hear.

I have shown each of you the way–laid down every step in My Word.

But the path is revealed through the steps taken. As you walk out each step, more is revealed. Your path is unveiled through obedience.

“Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom for the future. Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established.” Proverbs 19:20-21

If you skim My Word, you’re missing the Truth.

The man who has ‘eyes to see’ and ‘ears to hear’ is willing to change. He looks deeper into the message, for he is ‘scouring’ the Word for hidden meaning.

Those unwilling are blinded–won’t see. They have a pretense of wanting to learn, but turn their face–won’t discern; when given a task that they perceive is too hard for them to do.

Make a decision.

Decide to be willing and step forth, announcing–here am I! Then, dig deep into My Word–not simply read, but dig; with the heart attitude of, ‘I am willing to do what I see.’

And you will see more, for I will open the door–

when you seek Me–willing.

“‘And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off for ever.” I Chronicles 28:9

“A man’s steps are ordered by the Lord; how then can man understand the way?” Proverbs 20:24

“But, as it is written, ‘What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him.’ God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches every thing, even the depths of God.

For what person knows a man’s thoughts except the spirit of the man which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit which is from God, that we might understand the gifts bestowed on us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who possess the Spirit.

The unspiritual man does not receive the gifts of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.” I Corinthians 2:9-14

“But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” John 14:26

“‘And I tell you, Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!'” Luke 11:9-13

“I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.” Psalms 32:8

Promoted Within

Promotion comes from within. It isn’t something you obtain by pushing on others or even good deeds, but by change–on the inside.

Many companies promote from within and so do I.

You are the one that determines to grow, when you decide that there is more for you to know. You cannot help but grow when you dig deeper into My Truth and, as you do so, applying what you learn within the Word–everything within is changed.

“Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man and he will increase in learning.” Proverbs 9:9

You can’t help it, when you know–you grow!

“He who gives heed to the word will prosper, and happy is he who trusts in the Lord.” Proverbs 16:20

“The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, that one may avoid the snares of death.” Proverbs 13:14

That is the one I can use–for more. So you decide promotion time, by how much you want to grow. Now let’s figure out what you don’t know; if you think it’s time to grow, I AM here for you–you decide. After all, it’s your promotion.

“Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who have pleasure in them.” “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who practice it.” Psalms 111:2,10

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who observes his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But he who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer that forgets but a doer that acts, he shall be blessed in his doing.” James 1:22-25

“He whose ear heeds wholesome admonition will abide among the wise. he who ignores instruction despises himself, but he who heeds admonition gains understanding. The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom and humility goes before honor.” Proverbs 15:21-33

“By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is mightier than a strong man, and a man of knowledge than he who has strength; for by wise guidance you can wage your war, and in abundance of counselors there is victory.” Proverbs 24:3-6

“All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” II Timothy 3:16-17

“I bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me.” Psalms 16:7

Not Merely Hear

Why do you call Me Lord and do not do the things that I tell you?

“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I tell you?” Luke 6:46

Am I truly your Lord?

Who has a servant that hears instruction, only to walk away and never do what he is told. Would he last long as a servant? No, he would be cast out. I AM merciful, patient and kind, but I can be angry and discipline too.

“The fierce anger of the Lord will not turn back until he has executed and accomplished the intents of his mind. In the latter days you will understand this.” Jeremiah 30:24

A parent must discipline a child to train him in the way he should go, otherwise he would grow to hate the child; as the child grows to be a man and neither understands, that lack of discipline causes ruin.

“He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.” Proverbs 13:24

“Discipline your son while there is hope; do not set your heart on his destruction.” Proverbs 19:18

The man that never grew–remains a child–it’s true…

For he carries no honor, respect, inside and to Me he doesn’t abide. He has no guide, for he listened, but did not hear; he heard, but did not follow.

“Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.” Proverbs 12:1

Call upon Me while I AM here. Listen and do not merely hear. For discipline is your key, if you truly want to be set free.

Follow Me

“And have you forgotten the exhortation which addresses you as sons?–

‘My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor lose courage when you are punished by him. For the Lord disciplines him whom he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.’ It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?

If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. Besides this, we have had earthly fathers to discipline us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live? For they disciplined us for a short time at their pleasure, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness.

For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant; later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.” Hebrews 12:5-11

“Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom for the future. Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established.” Proverbs 19:20-21

“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord, and not do what I tell you? Every one who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like; he is like a man building a house, who dug deep, and laid the foundation upon rock; and when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it had been well built.

But he who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation; against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.” Luke 6:46-49

“He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.” Matthew 10:39

“He who despises the word brings destruction on himself, but he who respects the commandment will be rewarded. The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, that one may avoid the snares of death.” Proverbs 13:13-14

“Sing praises to the Lord, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name. For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.” Psalms 30:4-5

Sittin on a Log

If I could just see to get that log out of my eye, I am confident that I will find that my brother doesn’t have the speck that I thought he had–it is merely the shadow of my own log.

“Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is a log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.” Matthew 7:3-5

Why can’t I seem to get that log out?

I think my fingers are too big, or pointed in the wrong direction. I will look to the Word. I am sure that therein is the tool to remove the log from my eye.

And when I’ve got that log out, I will see clearly to love my neighbor as myself; for I am certain to be more loveable then!

“And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40
