Win What You’ve Won

When you are striving to reach a goal, how you arrive is irrelevant to the goal, but it is relevant to Me. I AM concerned with how you make your way through life. It isn’t necessarily on the goal that our focus should be, for the end will surely come, just wait you’ll see, but on how the race was won.

  • Was it fair?
  • Did you care?
  • Did you run it with Me?
  • Did you run it with glee?

I AM your prize.

How you live your life is what’s important to Me. You see, you’ve already won. You’ve already won your place in My Heart; that was determined right from the start, long before you were born.

  • But did you give?
  • Did you truly live, or did you wander aimlessly?

I planted in your heart secrets, have you found them yet? They are My plans for you to see your life through. But they are not written down for all to see. You will find them written in your heart, just for you and Me.

Do you see?

They call to you quietly, remind you to come and find the plans I’ve had in mind for you–even before you were born. Find them and win what you’ve won.

Begin what you haven’t yet begun.

“That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away.” Ecclesiastes 3:15

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. He destined us in love to be his sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.” Ephesians 1:3-6

“But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for he is kind to the ungrateful and the selfish. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.” Luke 6:35-36

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

“For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

“When I was a son with my father, tender, the only one in the sight of my mother, he taught me, and said to me, ‘Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live; do not forget, and do not turn away, from the words of my mouth. Get wisdom; get insight. Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you. The beginning of wisdom is this; Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight. Prize her highly, and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her. She will place on your head a fair garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown.'” Proverbs 4:3-9

“I have seen the business that God has given to the sons of men to be busy with. He has made everything beautiful in its time; also he has put eternity into man’s mind, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.

I know that there is nothing better for them than to be happy and enjoy themselves as long as they live; also that it is God’s gift to man that every one should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil.

I know that whatever God does endures for ever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it; God has made it so, in order that men should fear before him.” Ecclesiastes 3:10-14

“But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumph, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.” II Corinthians 2:14

With Your Whole Heart

Locate your heart.

Now, locate your mind.

Are the two in sync? Your mind should not run ahead of your heart, for your heart should give your mind charge. Likewise, if your mind is in conflict with your heart, then you are living out of your intelligence or emotions, rather than your spirit.

It is possible for your emotions to rule your mind if your spirit is not strong. Just as it is possible for your heart to lead without intelligent thought or for your intelligence to rule without a heart of compassion. All are examples of a man incomplete, for body, mind and spirit are not in sync.

I made you whole.

A complete man will take a stand against anything less than that–wholeness; the balance of peace in the inner man. There is quietness for your soul when you are whole.

Begin by locating your heart.

“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.” Romans 8:5-6

“–know the God of your father, and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.” I Chronicles 28:9

“I  appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:1-2

“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hid with Christ in God,. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” Colossians 3:1-4

“Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good life let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This wisdom is not such as comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, devilish. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without uncertainty or insincerity. And the harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” James 3:13-18

“As therefore you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so live in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6-7

Did We Pray?

Gather together what you need and we will proceed into this day. This day that seems like any other day, but something is missing–

We didn’t pray.

You see when you pray, I AM praying with you. I AM the Door that opens the Way to the Father. Your Father hears your prayers when you pray through Me–pray in My Name.

“So Jesus again said to them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers; but the sheep did not heed them. I am the door; if any one enters by me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.'” John 10:7-9

“I am the good shepherd; I know my own and my own know me, as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.” John 10:14

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.'” John 14:6

“–Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father, he will give it to you in my name. Hitherto you have asked nothing in my name; ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:23-24

Learn to pray as you begin each day–

for you know not what your day will bring. But I AM the light that brightens your day, lifting the burdens along the way.

“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'” John 8:12

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

Many things hidden seem not to impress, but later become mountains when you’re under duress. Prayer roots out the smallest factor that could hinder the day–

you didn’t stop to pray.

“Catch us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom.” Song of Solomon 2:15

“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving–” Colossians 4:2a

“Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

“And he told them a parable, to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.” Luke 18:1

“May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:11-14

For in him all the fulness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.” Colossians 1:19-20

See It Through

Many runners use a term to describe a moment in their run called, ‘hitting the wall’. They say this when it feels like they cannot go on; for if they were to continue, they would surely fall. But those who ‘know’ push past the wall–they push past the wall, for they will not fall. My help is there to see them through.

“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, that through these you may escape from corruption that is in the world because of passion, and become partakers of the divine nature.

For this very reason make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these things are yours and abound, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For whoever lacks these things is blind and shortsighted and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

Therefore, brethren, be the more zealous to confirm your call and election, for if you do this you will never fall; so there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” II Peter 1:3-11

Run the race that you might win!

“Do you not know that in a race all the runners compete, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.

Well, I do not run aimlessly, I do not box as one beating the air; but I pommel my body and subdue it, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.” I Corinthians 9:24-27

Discipline and courage are power tools to stay the course, to see it through. a runner knows that they might fall without proper shoes; proper footing through it ALL.

“The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip.” Psalms 37:31

Be prepared, keep in step.

Walk in My Light, not before Me–

don’t get ahead; you’re not to lead Me, for I know what’s ahead. Don’t lag behind, for that is where discouragement lies, but right here beside…

A Friend all the way.

The road is not easy and sometimes it’s still, but there’s guaranteed Blessing on the path of My Will. Be not bewildered, for this many have stopped, and failed to start again in the way they should walk.

The road may be rocky, crooked or straight, but I take the path that leads to the Gate.

So run the race, no matter what comes before; for I AM the one who opened that door…

“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal which comes upon you to prove you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice in so far as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.” I Peter 4:12-13

“–let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.” Hebrews 12:1b-4

See it through–

‘See’ your way through!

“Yea, thou dost light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness. Yea, by thee I can crush a troop; and by my God I can leap over a wall. This God–his way is perfect; the promise of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.

For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?–the God who girded me with strength, and made my way safe. He made my feet like hinds’ feet, and set me secure on the heights.

He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. Thou hast given me the shield of thy salvation, and thy right hand supported me, and thy help made me great. Thou didst give a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip.” Psalms 18:28-36

“May the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” I Thessalonians 5:23-24

Dig A New Well

When the enemy fills your well and stops it up, it is not for you to argue with your enemy, rather, it is time to dig a new well.

Buckle down and dig deeper.

If the enemy was able to cause havoc in your life, then there is more for you to know. Study–dig deeper. Dig until fresh water flows. Dig until you know. For he does not have power or authority over you unless you allow or invite him to.

“My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God? My tears have been my food day and night, while men say to me continually, ‘Where is your God?'” Psalms 42:1-4

Turn and dig a new well.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15 KJV

Dig until truth wells up within you and flows from your heart as living water. Your inner man shall ‘well up’ in truth, wisdom. Overtake the land flowing with milk and honey, it is nourishing to your soul and sweet to taste.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult.

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her right early.” Psalms 46:1-5

  • Speak truth and not lies.
  • Speak life and not foolishness.

“Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.” Proverbs 12:22

So it shall be life to the soul who hears, and life to your ears.

“The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.” Proverbs 10:11

“The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is a gushing stream.” Proverbs 18:4

Dig a new well. The sweetest, clearest water runs deep.

Use your tools and dig deep.

“And Isaac dug again the wells of water which had been dug in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham; and he gave them the names which his father had given them.

But when Isaac’s servants dug in the valley and found a well of spring water, the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Issac’s herdsmen, saying, ‘The water is ours.’ So he called the name of the well Esek, because they contended with him. then they dug another well, and they quarreled over that also; so he called its name Sitnah. And he moved from there and dug another well, and over that they did not quarrel; so he called its name Rehoboth, saying, ‘For now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.'”

“From there he went up to Beersheba. And the Lord appeared to him the same night and said, ‘I am the God of Abraham your father; fear not, for I am with you and will bless you and multiply your descendents for my servant Abraham’s sake. So he built an altar there and called upon the name of the Lord, and pitched his tent there. And there Isaac’s servants dug a well.” Genesis 26:18-25

“Remind them of this, and charge them before the Lord to avoid disputing about words, which does no good, but only ruins the hearers.” II Timothy 2:14

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who observes his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But he who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer that forgets but a doer that acts, he shall be blessed in his doing.” James 1:22-25

The Power Tools

Can you imagine life without tools?

Tools are needed to get the job done. Yet, how many say they live their life for Me, but never ‘receive’ the tools they’ve been given. These tools are given to empower, yet they are despised. That may seem a harsh word and yet you may recount that Esau despised his birthright by selling it for a bowl of pottage. He did not value it–deemed it unimportant, for his flesh cried to be fed.

“Once when Jacob was boiling pottage, Esau came in from the field and he was famished. And Esau said to Jacob, ‘Let me eat some of that red pottage, for I am famished.’ (Therefore his name was called Edom.) Jacob said, ‘First sell me your birthright.’ Esau said, ‘I am about to die; of what use is a birthright to me?’ Jacob said, ‘Swear to me first.’ so he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentils, and he ate and drank, and rose and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.” Genesis 25:29-34

So many despise My Word by not giving it time in their day. How many claim to believe and yet have never even read My Word–they don’t even know what it says?

How many reject prayer in tongues and claim it to be from the devil?

Blasphemy!

“For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit.” I Corinthians 14:2

It is My gift to you to build you up on the inside. The gift of the Holy Spirit, praying inside, through you.

“And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, to be with you for ever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him; you know him, for he dwells with you, and will be in you.” John 14:16-17

“He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.” I Corinthians 14:4

“Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words. And he who searches the hearts of men knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.” Romans 8:26-27

How treasured you are that I would give you this gift; how honored are those who’ve received. Many have received, and in this I AM blessed–glorified, but so many more left Him standing at the door.

Salvation and the Holy Spirit, the two should never part.

It was intended that you receive Him, right from the start.

You take your ease, but then come the pleas, the moment things go wrong. Tears are shed and many are dead for they–

  • don’t know
  • don’t have
  • don’t use

the Power Tools.

“–for John baptized with water, but before many days you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” Acts 1:5

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you–” Acts 1:8a

Don’t despise your birthright, as Esau did; for he later sought it with tears, but it was too late…

deception snatched it away.

“When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried out with an exceedingly great and bitter cry, and said to his father, ‘Bless me, even me also, O my father!’ But he said, ‘Your brother came with guile, and he has taken away your blessing.'” Genesis 27:34-35

(read of the entire account in Genesis 25-27)

“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of working, but it is the same God who inspires them all in every one.

To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. To one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.

All these are inspired by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.” I Corinthians 12:4-11

“And he said to them, ‘Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?’ And they said, ‘No, we have never even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.’ And he said, ‘Into what then were you baptized?’ They said, ‘Into John’s baptism.’ And Paul said, ‘John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.’ On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.” Acts 19:2-6

“–And he commanded us to preach to the people; and to testify that he is the one ordained by God to be judge of the living and the dead. To him all the prophets bear witness that every one who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.

While Peter was still saying this, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word. And the believers from among the circumcised who came with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles. For they heard them speaking in tongues and extolling God.

Then Peter declared, ‘Can any one forbid water for baptizing these people who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?’ And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.” Acts 10:42-48a

“As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as on us at the beginning. And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, ‘John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ If then God gave the same gift to them as he gave to us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?'” Acts 11:15-17

“‘If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!'” Luke 11:13

Kingdom Living

My Kingdom is not far off to those who believe.

For those who will receive, it is here–now. Many wait for Heaven and expect to find it there. My Kingdom is within you and all around you, if you believe and if you receive.

You see I make My way through you. You are My hands, you are My heart that I extend to another through you–to start. But don’t stop there, for if you are willing, I will take you to a higher realm of thinking, and of being, that brings My Kingdom here to earth; calls it forth, as if Heaven on earth, and that would be ‘My works’. These are not works of the flesh as man is prone to do, but the work of the Father, given unto you.

I only did what My Father said do, and said what I heard My Father say.

When you begin to think in this way, you think of another day. A day that is like no other that you’ve witnessed on this earth. Man thinks he is here to play and that there’s nothing more to say. But there is work to be done and the workers are few, yet there’s more and more I find sitting on the pew. Just sitting there, as if to be entertained, they haven’t even noticed My Presence has waned. There seems to be a draft, I’ve heard many say, the day the Holy Spirit came their way.

Many have missed the move of My Spirit; for blindness they could not see.

A blindness in their heart didn’t allow them to see, that truly this ‘presence’ was Me. Oh can’t you see? I’m more than a written Word there on the page. I’m life-giving to all who’ll believe. a life worth living. A life worth giving away to all who’ll receive, this New Day–If you’ll believe.

This new day is birthed, through–

  • The heart that is pure.
  • Ready to serve.
  • Willing to hear.

So many think they have heard it all. They need not learn, for they don’t ‘feel’ the call. But I say many are called, but few are chosen. For it’s few that respond, to the call that’s been given–

Given to ALL.

To all that’s been given, new life to believe. New life to receive, My Blood that’s been given, for this New Day.

“Not every one who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21

“And Jesus cried out and said, ‘He who believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me. And he who sees me sees him who sent me. I have come as light into the world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness.

If any one hears my sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects me and does not receive my sayings has a judge; the word that I have spoken will be his judge on the last day.

For I have not spoken on my own authority; the Father who sent me has himself given me commandment what to say and what to speak. And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say therefore, I say as the Father has bidden me.'” John 12:44-50

“For many are called, but few are chosen.” Matthew 22:14

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being changed into his likeness from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” II Corinthians 3:17-18

“Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. Besides this you know what hour it is, how it is full time now for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed; the night is far gone, the day is at hand.

Let us then cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light; let us conduct ourselves becomingly as in the day, not in reveling and drunkenness, not in debauchery and licentiousness, not in quarreling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.” Romans 13:10-14

“Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.

So we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. we beseech you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” II Corinthians 5:17-21

“May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5-6

The Missing Truth

Much mischief is made with My Word because too many do not take the time to study. Someone hears a statement made and then ‘parrots’ it to another as if it were true.

Is it true?

Did anyone look?

Entire bodies have formed opinions and yet they know nothing about what they speak. They did not seek to know and, too often, halt another just beginning to grow.

Stop.

Find the Truth for yourself. When you know what you have to say–then speak. You are accountable for what you know. But, if you speak when you don’t know, you are accountable. Yes, I will hold you to account. Therefore, seek the Truth, that you may speak the Truth.

“The good man out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings forth evil. I tell you, on the day of judgment men will render account for every careless word they utter; for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” Matthew 12:35-37

“Jesus then said to the Jews who had believed in him, ‘If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.'” John 8:31-32

Know what you are missing!

“”So, for the sake of your tradition, you have made void the word of God. you hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, when he said: ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.'” Matthew 15:6-9

“Take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you guardians, to feed the church of the Lord which he obtained with his own blood. I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves will arise men speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.” Acts 20:28-30

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by giving heed to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, through the pretensions of liars whose consciences are seared, who forbid marriage and enjoin abstinence from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.” I Timothy 4:1-5

Have nothing to do with godless and silly myths. Train yourself in godliness.” I Timothy 4:7

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15 KJV

“Have nothing to do with stupid, senseless controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kindly to every one, an apt teacher, forbearing, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant that they will repent and come to know the truth, and they may escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.” II Timothy 2:23-26

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” II Timothy 3:16-17 KJV

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And before him no creature is hidden, but all are open and laid bare to the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” Hebrews 4:12-13

“But according to his promise we wait for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, be zealous to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace. And count the forbearance of our Lord as salvation. So also our beloved brother Paul wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, speaking of this as he does in all his letters. There are some things in them hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other scriptures. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, beware lest you be carried away with the error of lawless men and lose your own stability. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” II Peter 3:13-18

Fear Be Gone!

There are those who fear the future–they fear that what they ‘don’t know’ may come, and they are afraid of what that ‘might’ be. Others fear what they know to be, and of what they see.

But what you may not realize is that fear is a spirit.

When one believes something, contrary to My Word, it releases faith for that to come to pass in their life. This release of faith ‘opens a door’ and gives opportunity for you to be tormented by fear.

I do not put fear upon you, Satan does.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” II Timothy 1:7 KJV

“But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from evil.” II Thessalonians 3:3

“For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, ‘Fear not, I will  help you.'” Isaiah 41:13

But again, he does not have that power over you unless you open the door and invite him, by believing and confessing that which is contrary to My Word.

I have given you authority over all powers of darkness. Nothing shall by any means hurt you.

“The seventy returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!’ And he said to them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.'” Luke 10:17-20

  • Command fear to leave.

  • Submit to My Word–believe the Truth; resist the devil and he will flee from you.

  • To be ignorant of My Word is to make yourself vulnerable to the unknown.

Commit to My Word, just as you have committed to Me. For when the unknown becomes known, you will not only realize, but utilize the authority I’ve given you and from you the devil will flee!

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” James 4:7

“Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are of a fearful heart, ‘Be strong, fear not! behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.'” Isaiah 35:3-4

“Behold, I will make of you a threshing sledge, new, sharp, and having teeth; you shall thresh the mountains and crush them, and you shall make the hills like chaff; you shall winnow them and the wind shall carry them away, and the tempest shall scatter them. And you shall rejoice in the Lord; in the Holy One of Israel you shall glory.” Isaiah 41:15-16

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Therefore take the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the equipment of the gospel of peace; above all taking the shield of faith, with which you can quench all the flaming darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.” Ephesians 6:10-18

“–and lo, I am with you always, to the close of this age.” Matthew 28:20b

Hello 2014!

One year ago today I posted my very first message on Wordscroll.

From that very first post, birthed out of obedience to God’s call on my heart, Wordscroll and all its wonderful readers has been an incredible blessing to me. So far 52 countries have been represented by visitors to this blog. And now I realize that, by the wonders of technology, I am enabled to ‘go ye into all the world and preach the gospel’. What an incredible and exciting time we live in. A time we can’t afford to waste!

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.” Mark 16:15

Every Christian believer has a calling on their heart from the Lord and the gifting to fulfill that call.

“Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them–” Romans 12:6a

I urge one and all to step out in faith to answer God’s prompting. Do you sense the urgency in the air? There is so much to be done and all are needed to do their part. If you simply take the first step, you will see the next and the Lord will meet your every need–just take that step.

“I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power in us who believe, according to the working of his great might–” Ephesians 1:16-19

Happy New Year Everyone!

I am so thankful, and I look forward to another great year of service to you, and to our King!
