His Perfect Timing

On my way to feed the homeless yesterday, the thought came to me to stop and check my post office box for mail. I keep that box strictly for book ministry mail and normally always check it on the way back. Reasoning, that I would have more time if I checked it later, resulted in my simply brushing the thought away. How many can join me in finding that, hindsight, often speaks louder than the Lord?

So after a delightful evening of beautiful sunshine, laughter with friends–my homeless and some, non-homeless family–after having served up a feast from, 5loaves2fish, of fresh-caught lake trout, thank you Carlson’s of Leland, fresh garden salad, potato salad, fresh fruit compote, dinner rolls and warm chocolate bread pudding. All homemade–all infused with love! Now, incredibly content, and heading home, I stopped to get my mail. My heart was already full and happy, but yet, there was more– for there in my box, leaned a long white envelope.

It’s always exciting to see real mail.

There is an old adage, “The road is paved with good intentions.” Many say, and intend to do something–even declaring it, but never do it. Truly, pavement, is all a ‘good intention’ is worth, if one doesn’t ever follow through!

However, in Heaven, the Bible tells us, the streets are paved with pure gold!

This ‘pavement’ in my mailbox is–pure gold!

The envelope contained a check from the U.S. Treasury Department, and it took me a minute to realize what it was. I had received a letter from Nicholas about a week ago. Nicholas is a prisoner I have written about before. He had contacted me for books for a class they had allowed him to develop for his prison, in conjunction with Duke University, Divinity Grad School students. He wanted my books to be mandatory reading for the class. With many thanks to Chaplain White, we were able to make that happen. The class was so popular, they graduated 3 classes of men and had over 40 men still on a waiting list to take it. Unfortunately, Chaplain White, either retired or transferred, and the new chaplain shut the class down–declaring that it wasn’t regulation. He also stopped Nicholas from preaching and nearly broke his heart. I urged him to be patient. The chaplain’s reasoning for not allowing him to continue preaching was that he wasn’t an ordained minister. No one can stop God’s plan though, and a visiting clergy came in a few weeks later, told Nicholas that God was pressing on him to come back and ordain him. Two weeks later, he did just that! Nicholas’ preaching has brought many men to salvation and his last letter to me stated that he is blessed to have baptized 119 men in 3 years. I am happy to report that the new chaplain has since gotten to know Nicholas, and he has been allowing him to preach again.

So, why am I telling you all this? Well, the check was from Nicholas, and he had told me that he wanted to join me in feeding the poor. He states that he has a heart for the homeless and wants to serve them when he gets out. He dreams of having a food truck that he can drive around and serve them, right where they are at. Since his circumstances prevent him from doing that, he is starting right now, right where he’s at, and sent a check asking me to get what I could for them.

In God’s and (my) eyes, that $5.00 is like 5 million!

It’s not about the amount is it?

No, it’s all about the heart

“He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury; and he saw a poor widow put in two copper coins. And he said, ‘Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them; for they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all the living that she had.'” Luke 21:2

Nicholas tells me they take half of his check for restitution and out of the remaining he gives to 4 churches and a ministry that helps women that have become victims of sex crimes. This is a man that has repented, received the cleansing Blood of Jesus, and has a committed heart–

A heart of ‘pavement’–the purest gold of Heaven!

“Each one must do as he has made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that you may always have enough of everything and may provide in abundance for every good work. As it is written, ‘He scatters abroad, he gives to the poor; his righteousness endures for ever.’ He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your resources and increase the harvest of your righteousness.” 2Corinthians 9:7-10

We can take a lesson from Nicholas–he KNOWS he messed up. It breaks his heart every day, the harm he caused others and especially the hurt his family is experiencing. Yet, he’s not sulking and shutting down. He has reached out to God and received forgiveness and His abundant love, to first be restored himself, and then to share it with others. He’s surely not free physically, but he is living the freedom the Lord Jesus has bought and paid for him–and doing more valuable work than many will ever do in their entire lifetime.

How about you?

Are you living the life Jesus bought for you or does it need tweaking? Do you even know Him–really KNOW Him???

Be encouraged, Nicholas, is proof that God can use you in any situation, no matter what you have done. All He needs is for you to turn to Him and say yes!

Don’t wait to the end of your life to find out what you may have missed. Life is too short and you are needed now!

Seek Him today!

So, why did I title this “His Perfect Timing”? It wasn’t just because of the check that came on the day I served the homeless, but also a letter, that I had written to Nicholas, took 6 weeks to reach him, and when did he receive it?

Father’s Day!

Happy Father’s Day, Nicholas. It’s long past, but your wife tells me your oldest son is getting baptized this weekend!! You won’t be reading this but I’m just throwing that out there to you. I know you are busting your buttons over him! It’s such a blessing to ‘hear’ you, through your letters, proudly talk of all your children and your wife. I pray that you will soon join your family again . . .  In the meantime, thank you for the check and all your hard work in leading men to Jesus . . .

Thank you for doing your part right where you are!

Our Heavenly Father, is busting His buttons over you!

I am excited to announce that an order for 1,200 prison books, the “His Voice In My Heart” series, is at the printers now and will soon be sent to Prison Book Project, the ministry that sends them on to prisons, jails and rehab centers all over the country; and even to our men and women serving our country overseas. It’s but a widow’s mite in my heart because, frankly, I can’t get enough books into their hands; but for what I have been able to do, I am eternally grateful. A big thank you to everyone that has contributed to help me in this ministry!

To all of you, and to Nicholas, this scripture is for you . . .

“It is well with the man who deals generously and lends, who conducts his affairs with justice. For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered for ever. He is not afraid of evil tidings; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.” Psalm 112:5-7

Exciting Book News!

https://nationofwomenpublishing.com/product/his-voice-in-my-heart-to-freedom/

A Colorado Women’s Correctional Institution has contacted my publisher requesting donation of the “His Voice in My Heart” book series. They currently have 550 inmates, and stated that about 150 of them consistently attend church services and read faith-based books.

The publisher wrote to the warden to confirm, inquire of how many they wanted and asked how they learned of the books, as they had requested them by title.

She received confirmation from the warden today and contact from the coordinator as well. He stated that he heard about them from the inmates and that they were recommended by several chaplains and volunteers as well. They are asking for 50 of each of the “His Voice in My Heart” books. Which we will send, along with 50 of “Comfort in the Challenge,” which they agreed they would like as well. Hopefully, the excitement of the inmates and the extra 50 books will spill out to the other inmates that don’t attend services and draw them into God’s love.

This is so exciting to me!

This is only one small prison of thousands across the country that we send to via, Prison Book Project, of Titusville Florida; a prison book-placing ministry that we utilize and are so thankful for!

The fact that they want 200 books is evidence that hearts are hungry and the books are touching them!

Praise Jesus!

Would you consider being a part of this exciting opportunity to bring comfort, healing and JESUS to hearts of those hidden from society, but not hidden from God?

He came to set the captives free!

Below are direct quotes of a letter received from an inmate that has read the first of the series, “His Voice in My Heart.”

“But for the next time I picked up the book and started reading it I couldn’t put it down. I really got into the book and don’t understand why I did but the book spoke to me in a lot of ways and in ways that I can change myself. It is a really good book and you put some good stories in it.”

“I don’t know what made me pick it up again and not only that but couldn’t put it down and it’s almost like what you said about praying for the lady at work and you said it wasn’t the right time to pray for her but at the right time you did. Well I feel the same way about the book. It was God that done everything. But I want to thank you again for the book that I was reading. I hope to read more of them.”

Thank you, Prison Book Project for making this happen!

Other than what is sent free of charge, proceeds from purchases of “Comfort in the Challenge” will go directly to Canaanland Ministries of Autaugaville, Alabama. A wonderful ministry, proven for over 40 years in successfully restoring men, struggling with addiction, to a new life in Christ– giving families their husbands, sons back.

Your generous, tax deductible donation will be helping them to fulfill a vision the Lord has placed on their heart–

A Canaanland Ministry in every state!

“Comfort in the Challenge” was written and published in November of 2019. It was written and dedicated to caregivers, before we knew of Covid 19.

My publisher had rejected the original title, stating that the Lord had spoken this to her, “Comfort in the Challenge.”

He had prophetically provided, in advance, for what He knew we were about to face.

Glory to God!

A special thank you and shout out to Prison Book Project of Titusville, Florida.

Their nearly 30 year ministry is devoted to placing good books in the hands of inmates in prisons, jails and rehab facilities; all over the country, as well as our military overseas! It is through their distribution of books that this has all been made possible.

Did you know that an individual can no longer send books into prisons? Books were being sent in laced with drugs, resulting in many deaths. Now, inmates can only receive books direct from a publisher, book-placing ministry, such as Prison Book Project or direct purchase through companies, such as Amazon, and Barnes & Noble. Unfortunately, this is now the world we live in; therefore, I am all the more so very thankful for Prison Book Project’s wonderful ministry!

Please consider a generous donation to their ministry to help with the costs of shipping these books by visiting:

Finally, an extra special thank you to all of you that have given to help make this dream come true. Many have caught the vision and have helped. To all of you, no matter how big or how small your donation, you are a vital part in fulfilling this calling. Thank you!

I cannot express enough how very thankful and grateful I am for your kindness!

Thank you so very much!

Love and blessings to you, Lori J. O’Neil

Genuine Fruit

This week I opened my post office box to find fruit! It contained more letters, written from prisoners, that have read my books. It never gets old to hear from those that have been so touched by the Lord in these books that they feel the need to reach out and tell me about it.

One in particular really stood out . . .

Nicholas writes to ask if I will pray with him and his family, and he tells me his story. Everyone has a story to tell, but the truth of the matter shines through. Another inmate’s letter clearly indicates he’s looking for an outside connection, he tosses in a few spiritual phrases to show me he’s on track but there is plenty of evidence in his letter to the contrary. Nicholas, however, lays no blame but to himself. He takes full responsibility for his choices and actions and is repentant. One can be remorseful, but only that he got caught. This man began reading the Bible while in solitary, broke down at Psalm 51, repented and gave his life over to God. Nicholas continued reading the Bible, over and over and over. He came out of isolation so full of the Word that he began a daily Bible study– preaching on Sundays, 19 men got saved!

The fruit of his genuine repentance is that it didn’t stop there . . .

Nicholas remains engaged in prison ministry; preaching every Friday night, leading services in the chapel, as well as preaching and ushering in Sunday services. He has taken 29 correspondence courses and helps inmates study for their GED. He enrolled in, and has now completed, one semester with Duke University Divinity program, called Project Turn. It is part of Duke’s grad program. Ten inmates are selected to take classes side by side with Duke University grad students; and if that weren’t enough, Nicholas, was recently selected to the board of directors for the Genesis Project; an inmate-led program, teaching inmates to become the sons, fathers and husbands God meant them to be.

Like I said, genuine fruit!

After reading Nicholas’ story, I contacted the ministry that distributes my books to prisons, jails and rehabs all across the country, hoping they could send him the rest of the book series; only to find she was about to contact me. Joyce, of Prison Book Project, tells me they have distributed all the books I have given them. I lost track of the exact count but well over 6,000 books! She said they don’t have a single book left. Is there anyone out there with the means and a willing heart to help? I have poured everything I could get my hands on, into providing books these last four years and now I must deal with some long overdue house repairs! To date I have not taken so much as a dime from any of my books, but have turned every cent of sales into more books to place in the hands of inmates and the homeless. I so appreciate everyone who has helped so far, are there more that would like to be a part of this important mission?

There are many men, like Nicholas, the Lord would like to reach!

Comfort in the Challenge is a special book, given to Canaanland. Other than what is sent free to prisons, general sales of this book is given to Canaanland Ministries of Autagaville, Alabama. For over 40 years this wonderful ministry has taken in men, struggling with addiction, some facing jail. They house them, teach them, and pour love on them for an entire year free of charge. Their success rate in transforming these men’s lives is so tremendous that judges in that area often give the option, jail or Canaanland!

Thank you so very much for considering partnering with this vital ministry! The good fruit is revealing itself, and I so appreciate your help, financially and in prayers.

Please place Nicholas and his family in your prayers as well. He has 21 more years, but as his transformation continues, it is my hope and prayer that he be reunited with his family much sooner. He has four children.

To God be all Glory!

“God, give me mercy from your fountain of forgiveness! I know your abundant love is enough to wash away my guilt. Because your compassion is so great, take away this shameful guilt of sin. Forgive the full extent of my rebellious ways, and erase this deep stain on my conscience. for I’m so ashamed. I feel such pain and anguish within me. I can’t get away from the sting of my sin against you, Lord! Everything I did, I did right in front of you, for you saw it all. Against you, and you above all, have I sinned. Everything you say to me is infallibly true and your judgement conquers me.” Psalms 51:1-4 TPT

“Identify with those who are in prison as though you were there suffering with them, and those who are mistreated as if you could feel their pain.” Hebrews 13:3 TPT

Nothing is too Complicated for God

In my last post, “Nothing is too Insignificant for God,” I wrote about the seemingly insignificant things that are important to God, because they matter to us. The testimony in that post declares His unending love for us. Even that which would seem foolish to others matters to Him, if it matters to you.

You can trust Him with your heart!

Likewise there is no concern that you may have, that is too big for God to answer. From the tiniest need to the biggest fear and concern–He is there!

The following testimonies are, joyous, living proof of the goodness of God! They each received terrible news from their doctor. Each took a slightly different path, but each put their faith and trust in their Heavenly Father and the Healing power of Jesus Christ. I will write of just one testimony today, the other two will follow another day.

You can trust Him with your Body!

Please allow me to introduce you to Peppi. It is with his permission that I write his testimony and use his real name.

I was writing the third book in the “His Voice in My Heart” series last June, when the Lord stopped my writing. I blogged about it then, but at that time had not yet known the full purpose in His stopping me. At the time, I had been working toward a goal of publishing by Christmas of that year, 2021; when He spoke to me and said, “So, why don’t you think more toward spring.” “Ok, sure.” was my reply. I had thought He was just wanting me to slow my pace, and not work so hard. I was really enjoying the writing though, so I slowed down but kept dabbling at it. He then pulled the anointing. It was like trying to write in the dark without Him. No, not happening! What I didn’t know at that time was that He had someone that He was soon going to introduce me to and it would forever change this person’s life. His testimony has become a crowning Glory to the Lord, completing the book series, “His Voice in My Heart.” It declares the Lord’s Love, Compassion and Healing Power to all who will receive!

Glory to God!

I won’t go into the whole testimony here, you may read it when the book comes out. I won’t venture to say for sure, but again my hope is in time for Christmas; but I’ll just leave that up to the Lord!

Knowing that there will be many that don’t venture to read a book, I will tell you much of what happened. Spoiler alert for those of you that will read the book, but then it bears repeating . . . again and again and again!

One can never stop rejoicing in the goodness of our wonderful Savior!

So one day I was going to meet a friend for coffee and the Lord spoke to me and said, “Take your books with you; there is someone I want you to give them to.”

I obeyed without question, and went to meet my friend. She texted that she would be late, part of God’s plan I expect, and so I sat there looking around for the person He had in mind. My spirit had been drawn to a man that was sitting behind me but he had gotten up and left, so I looked around and finding no clues, asked the Lord, “So, who are they for?” Just then that same man came back in, and this time sat at a table to my right. “It’s him.” the Lord replied. and then, as if to make sure I didn’t miss it, He immediately repeated, “It’s him.”

I didn’t need courage, because the Lord was so clear, but asked the man if he liked to read. His responsive yes was all I needed. I jumped up and told him the Lord had asked me to bring him my books and then told him, “They are written for prisoners but please don’t take that personal, because they are for anyone.” “We all have things in our life we’re working on.” I said.

“No,” he replied. “I am one.” “Well, I’m out now, but I’ve been in prison in Chicago for years.”

He then seemed to want to talk, and told me of his life in prison. He spoke of cancer, an aneurysm, stroke and seizures in prison that he had overcome, without the help of the prison system. Then he proceeded to tell me that he now had cancer for the third time. When he said that, faith came out of me like a roar and I said, “Oh, NO, that’s got to go!” “Can I pray for you?” I took his hands and commanded that cancer to leave his body, in Jesus Name.

He received his healing right then and there, but it was January 21st that he texted me and said the doctor could hardly see any cancer on the scan. March 3rd, the doctor couldn’t see any cancer, and this past week it was confirmed with a pet scan. There is no cancer anywhere in his body!

Glory to God!!!

I found out later why the Lord had cut me off and I didn’t wait to hear where he had the cancer, but prayed. I may have been daunted by the report for he had cancer in his brain, face, neck, shoulders and it had started in his bones. I learned that day that the Lord is not daunted by any report!

It was his 3rd round of cancer and stage 4 but that’s not too big for God!

God is the healer, I am not. I was there to connect with him to God. Sometimes we need someone with us to bolster our faith and believe with us.
I explained to him that day that many don’t receive their healing because they don’t believe it until they see it. They keep praying and asking but never “receive” it. Some healings come instantly, but others take time. Faith is the “substance” of things “hoped” for and the “evidence” of things “not” seen.

I told Peppi, that he is healed right now!  “Expect to see it, but not be concerned about when.” “Praise and thank God daily for your healing.” “Write healing scriptures on sticky notes and put them where you will see them though-out the day.” “Read them out loud to get them in your ears and down into your heart.” I encouraged. “I’ll do it!” he replied with conviction and a sharp nod of his head.

He wasn’t disappointed!

I rejoice with you, Peppi, and thank you for allowing me to pray with you and for being a shining star to complete my book. You represent all that I write for and I hope that others will take courage from your testimony to trust the Lord with their heart, body and life.

I want every reader to know that no matter what you’re going through, no matter where you”ve been, you’re important to God!

Reader, He knows right where you are, and you are not alone–simply reach out to Him.

Peppi had met the Lord while in prison and was out now and studying to become a prison minister. He told me later that he had planned to go into the prison systems to minister when, suddenly, Covid hit. “Lord, how am I going to get into the prisons now?” he prayed. The Lord answered his prayer bigger than Peppi could imagine. He answered this dying man by healing his body, giving him a testimony of victory to share and now, with God’s help, Peppi’s testimony will be going into prisons all over the country via the next “His Voice in My Heart” book.

If the Lord hadn’t stopped me from finishing that book, June 6th, 2021, it would have already been to the publisher for editing by the time I met Peppi.

I had never met or even seen Peppi before. God introduced us, because He has a plan for Peppi’s life. He not only knows Peppi, but he knew he would be at the coffee shop that day, arranged to have my friend delayed, and sent me to pray with him. Peppi was not forgotten. He may have messed up in life, but God will use his testimony for His Glory!

You are not forgotten either . . . you have a future waiting to unfold.

God’s timing is perfect–listen to Him–He knows just what you need!

Peppi told me later that prior to all this he had been discouraged and had thought about going back to Chicago. He had trouble finding a place to live because no one wanted to rent to him, given his record. His sister, Lois, told him, “Peppi, if you come back to Chicago you will miss your blessing!”

Lois was right! Soon after, someone did take a chance and offered Peppi an apartment, 5 minutes away from his church. That was the stipulation Peppi had put in his prayer and God answered that prayer!

Peppi, you’re on your way–Your future is bright!

Thank you, God, for allowing me to be a part of his story.

I pray for God’s Blessing to be upon you, Peppi, all the days of your life and I know that God has already answered my prayer!

All Glory Be to God!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5

Please Welcome the Newest Arrival!

“His Voice in My Heart the Journey” continues the path of freedom. A journey that calls you higher to the abundant life He intended for you all along–your destiny!

In this rapidly-changing world, God remains unchanged!

Included are many amazing, true testimonies of the miraculous power of God. Each incredible event is a living, powerful demonstration of His Love, manifested through Healing, Provision, and Protection.

If you have not yet had the opportunity . . . begin the journey, with “His Voice in My Heart!” Both books are now available at Nation of Women Publishing, https://www.nationofwomenpublishing.com

Both His Voice in My Heart books along with “Comfort in the Challenge” are being sent, free of charge, to prisons, jails and rehab centers all over the country; as well as being offered freely to the homeless. If you would like to be involved, your donations are very much appreciated and tax deductible.

Having Not a Tare in the World!

When it seems as though there are traps set for you at every turn, remember this: I have allowed the tares to remain with the wheat until the very end.

I will not take those who oppose you out from your midst; but I teach you how to step lightly around the snares the enemy would set for you.

Consider this: It is not always your enemy, but your own emotions that get in the way of progress. If it seems as though you stumble, when you find agitation confronting you–run to peace!

Come and Abide.

Look within and face your feelings–don’t run from them.

You are LOVED–remember that!

Come and dine.

Those traps the enemy has placed for you, you’ll find are rooted in deception. Check for an open door. If you find you have gotten out of love, been complaining, or otherwise not operating in the fruit of the Spirit, turn it around . . .

Turn and look at Me.

All is well!

“Look how the wicked conceive their evil schemes. They go into labor with their lies and give birth to trouble. They dig a pit for others to fall into, not knowing that they will be the very ones who will fall into their own pit of failure. For you, God, will see to it that every pit-digger who works to trap and harm others will be trapped and harmed by his own treachery.  But I will give all my thanks to you, Lord, for you make everything right in the end. I will sing my highest praise to the God of the Highest Place!” Psalms 7:14-17 TPT

“And the servants of the householder came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then has it weeds?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Then do you want us to go and gather them?’ But he said, ‘No; lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. Let both grow together until the harvest; and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.'” Matthew 13:27-30

“–And his disciples came to him, saying, ‘Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.’ He answered, ‘He who sows the good seed is the Son of man; the field is the world, and the good seed means the sons of the kingdom; the weeds are the sons of the evil one, and the enemy who sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the close of the age, and the reapers are angels. Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the close of the age. The Son of man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers, and throw them into the furnace of fire; there men will weep and gnash their teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.” Matthew 13:36-43

“Many are my persecutors and my adversaries, but I do not swerve from thy testimonies.” Psalms 119:157

“Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.” Psalms 105:4 NIV

Kick Off Your Shoes

There is one condition for you to enter My Kingdom–

that you receive My Blood.

That may seem harsh, but I died a bitter death that you may be made alive, with Me, once again.

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace which he lavished upon us.” Ephesians 1:7-8

Do you understand that you are dead in your sin? I once was dead but I AM alive again, that you may enter in . . .

The path is through the Blood.

Every baby is born through a pathway of blood.

Then . . .

Washed, cleansed, and comforted.

You may be born again, through the pathway of Blood–

Mine.

Then washed–

Made clean by the Word.

“Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the church to himself in splendor without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.” Ephesians 5:25-27

And comforted–

Receive the Holy Spirit . . .

He is your Comforter and Friend.

“If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” John 14:15-17

Will you enter in?

Repent of your sins and leave them behind–

as if, taking off your shoes.

You will be standing on holy ground . . .  leave them behind–

There is no remorse or lack in My Kingdom.

But, these things are learned . . .

As you grow to discern, for the first washing is only the beginning. Without roots in good soil, you’ll find you’ll always toil, and that is not Kingdom work!

Enter in, that you may grow . . .

Enter in, that you may know . . . the Kingdom Rules–

For this Kingdom, RULES!

“For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants of one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word,’You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'” Galatians 5:13-14

Don’t be left standing at the door . . .

Kick off your shoes–take the first step!

The Cross is the Family Tree.

Come, be ALIVE in Me!

“He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be pre-eminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.” Colossians 1:18-20

“For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the cleverness of the clever I will thwart.” Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.” I Corinthians 1:18-21

“But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with him, and made us sit with him in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God–not because of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:4-10

“But what does it say? The word is near you, on your lips and in your heart (that is, the word of faith which we preach); because, if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For man believes with his heart and so is justified, and he confesses with his lips, and so is saved. The scripture says, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and bestows his riches upon all who call upon him. For, ‘every one who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.'” Romans 10:8-13

Reflection Direction, add Salt

There’s fire that burns within–

This is a new chapter in your life, and yet there is much of the old that carries through–as seasoned wine–it is wisdom learned. So, embrace the new but weigh the old, all are good to prepare you for what’s ahead.

You will flourish if you look to Me for guidance, and keep a check on your heart; it tends to wane if there is not fresh activity, but rest is necessary. Take time to be calm and replenish–stay in peace.

This season can be volatile, especially, if you focus on the events taking place in the world. It is important to be informed, but what are you feeding on? Will it bring life or speak death to your spirit?

Balance is imperative

My Word is your plumb-line.

Connect with those of like-faith, but do not neglect to be among those you don’t agree with. You are a light for them to see–in you, they see Me.

Be You!

Be genuine and leave their hearts to Me. It is not for you to change and rearrange–that is My place–I AM the One they must face.

“As for the man who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not for disputes over opinions.” Romans 14:1

“Welcome one another, therefore, as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” Romans 15:7

So, you want to be about My business . . .

Begin by asking yourself this question . . . When they see you, do they see Me?

Who are they? —Everyone you see–they’re looking back at Me. I dwell within

Show them I AM!

“Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer every one.” Colossians 4:5-6

“So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes by the preaching of Christ.” Romans 10:17

“Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for edifying, as fits the occasion, that it may impart grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, with all malice, and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians 4:29-5:1-2

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13

“‘Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink? And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee? And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'” Matthew 25:37-40
